When we first bought the boat, Peter the marina manager estimated that there was approximately 7000 pounds of work that needed to be done, just on the exterior alone. And the majority of that, would be from the 'man hours'. If the marina staff work on the boat, it would cost us 30 pounds an hour. So here are the sums for the money we've saved by doing it ourselves...

1440 per week

3 weeks refit = 4320 !!

Feeling well pleased with myself this evening.
So I splashed out on a jumbo sausage and curry sauce.
