Rylard Paint

"Never heard of it."

The worlds of plastic and steel use different paint. So the marina haven't been able to help much, because they are mainly geared up for painting plastic and wood boats. The canal forum has been very useful for sorting out what we need. Especially, VACTAN, the rust eater, which goes onto the hull before the bitumen based black stuff.

ye olde tinsWe need 'Oxford Blue' and 'British Racing Green'.

ready for paintingThe anti-slip roof paint has been easy to source, but the shiny shiny paint for the decks and sides has to come from Birmingham, as it's specially made for Narrowboats.
